I was born in Stockholm in 1973. Started painting after a couple of years doing graphic art. The graphic work contained minimalistic illustrations for children and adults. In the work for children you can see a stroke of ideas that wanted to challenge the "normal" gender role. The artwork for adults mainly contained minimalistic studies of flowers and movie posters.
Todays art is more expressive in a way. It shows art with less control and with more feelings. There´s also a need of using more colors now than I´ve done before. A reaction to the minimalistic expression or the need to express more? Both!
I mainly paint faces. Human individualistic expressions interests me, especially those who doesn't show perfection. We get enough of that in themedia. I want to create peoples colorful inside, reflected on the outside. The human complexity.
Hope you like it!
